Apprentice/Journeyman HVAC Technician

Service Department - San Jose

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice and Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Location: San Jose, CA

Reports to: Service Manager

The HVAC Technician will work closely with clients to diagnose issues and provide effective solutions. We have a established long term commercial account base relationship with our service clients. Our service team stays busy year around. We have flexible work schedules that allow all of our team to have a life and work balance.

8 hour shift

Job Type: Full-Time


Duties:

• Repair, maintain, HVAC systems including boilers and refrigeration units roof top

package equipment 2 to 75 tons.

• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment to ensure proper

functionality.

• Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs and installations.

• Collaborate with design teams to ensure HVAC systems meet specifications and client

requirements.

• Document service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately.

• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients

regarding their HVAC needs.

• Adhere to safety protocols while working with hazardous materials in

refrigeration systems.

• Climb ladders and lift up to 70 Pounds.


Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an HVAC Technician role in the HVAC mechanical

field.

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems.

• Familiarity with welding and HVAC refrigeration systems.

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools including Ohmmeters for electrical testing.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• EPA certifications Type I, II, III, and Universal certification.

• Valid California Drivers License and clean driving history.


Qualifications:

• Valid HVAC license/certifications.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC service.

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• EPA Certification (Required).
